Robert Hemphill
Doctor of Dental Medicine
Dr. Robert Hemphill received his Bachelor of Arts from Albion College in 1997. He furthered his education and completed a Masters in Health Administration at Grand Valley State University. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Nova Southeastern University followed by a General Practice Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Kim
Director of Operations
Kim comes to West Hill Family Dental with over 30 years experience in the dental field. She began her career as a dental assistant and worked her way to the front office. She received her certification in dental office management in Salt Lake City, Utah. She is passionate about dentistry and her experience allows her to maximize insurance and help provide the financing opportunities to allow patients to obtain the beautiful healthy smiles they deserve. Kim resides in Middlefield with her husband Joe. Her interests include spending time with family, travel, and anything to do with the beach.
Laurie
Office Manager
Laurie started working with Dr. Daniels in 2006. She has been in the dental profession since 1984. She loves interacting with patients and works to ensure that all our patients have a positive experience. Laurie’s many years of experience enables her to keep up to date with current trends in insurance and advocate for patient benefits. When not in the office, Laurie enjoys her equestrian sports; teaching horseback riding lessons, and playing polo. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and three Jack Russell Terriers, hiking, swimming, boating or fun on Cape Cod.
Jean
Head Assistant
Jean attended Windham Technical School and graduated from the Certified Dental Assisting program. She started working with Dr. Daniels as his full time assistant in 2000. She is married with two children and a step-daughter. When she is not at the office she enjoys horseback riding and tending to her small farm. She is married with two children and a step-daughter.
Patty
Administrative Assistant
Patty is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University. She has been working with Dr. Daniels since 1990. Over the years she has worked at the front desk, in the lab, and assisting the doctors. She has a warm smile, an infectious laugh and is always friendly and welcoming. When not at the office, she enjoys catching up on all the newest shows and movies, enjoying the warmer days on the bike path and spending time with her husband and two grown children.
Melissa
Lead Hygienist
Melissa obtained her degree in Dental Hygiene at Tunxis Community College in 2014. She is certified in local anesthesia and completes most of the scaling and root planing in the office. She is a team-oriented, dynamic leader who is highly skilled in scaling and root planing, soft tissue management and placing pit and fissure sealants. She is enthusiastic about dentistry and focuses on building trust in order to support long-term relationships with all patients. She believes that prevention and education are paramount for patient health. When she is not at work, she spends most of her time with family and her dog, Paddy. She loves to cook, travel and relax by the beach.
Skyler
Dental Hygienist
Skyler obtained her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene degree from Concorde Career Institute in 2023. After attending school in Orlando, Florida, she decided to move back to her hometown in Connecticut. Her favorite part of working at Tolland Hill Family Dental is the family dynamic and positive energy that is present every day. She is passionate about educating patients about oral hygiene as well as making sure they have a comfortable experience in the dental chair. Outside of work, Skyler loves spending time with her friends, family, and cat named Mavis.
Amanda
Dental Hygienist
Amanda received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Tunxis Community College. She is currently also serving in the Air National Guard and that is where her love of dentistry began. She loves educating patients on the importance of dental care and figuring out the needs of each individual patient. In her free time she enjoys running, a new found love for cooking and spending time with her loved ones.
